The gearing system uses SHIMANO 2300 GEARING. The 2300 gearing is SHIMANO'S latest road bike product that has replaced the 2200 gearset which is now outdated and no longer being manufactured(last produced in early 2009). The Shimano 2300 gear shifters are STI levers which means the brake levers click to the side to change gears. Bikes with this style shifters usually cost $1000+. Shimano is highly regarded as the world's best when it comes to quality bicycle gearing.

It is also fitted with lightweight alloy components such as cranks, brakes, seat post, stem and handlebars. Weighing only 10.2kgs it is more than capable of reaching great speeds socially or in competition. It comes in 3 sizes (small, medium and large). The frame sizes are 51cm, 54cm and 57cm.
